Job description
We are hiring a Certification Intern that will be based in our Somerset West office. You will report directly to the ​Certification Manager​. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience through working in the organic agriculture sector in developing decision-making skills through the knowledge of the organic scheme’s regulations as offered. The internship is for 6 months, after which the intern will have a very high probability of permanent employment within the company.

Your tasks
You will be responsible to carry out the following duties:
  • Perform report reviews
  • Make certification decisions
  • Attest certification status
  • Collect and analyse information questioning the validity of our certification
  • May include additional office responsibilities

Profile

  • Technical and/or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, environmental management or other relevant qualification. Any experience in certification will be advantageous.
  • High level of computer literacy – Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent English spoken and written competency with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Behavioural skills:

Remuneration: This is a paid internship. Market related salary and dependent on experience and qualifications
Type of contract: Internship (6-month contract)
But also:
Should the internship succesfully lead to a permanent position the following will be applicable:
60% medical aid contribution for you and your dependents + life- and disability insurance. When working more than 6 months you will become eligible for a performance bonus based on the level of achievement of your annual objectives. Partial remote working is part of the current company policies.
